Lenora Martin is a Professional School Counselor newly assigned to George Crockett Academy, for the 2014-2015 school year. She has had more than twenty years experience with children in various capacities, but always as an advocate, with Detroit Public Schools. Her passion for helping children to find their place in life has driven her to earn her B.A. in Psychology (University of Michigan, Dearborn, 2008) and her M.S. in School Counseling (Capella University, 2013). She is an active member of the American School Counseling Association (ASCA), American Counseling Association (ACA) and Michigan School Counselor Association (MSCA). She aligns her comprehensive counseling programs and strategies with the ASCA National Model incorporating a Foundation, Management System, Delivery System and Accountability. Her primary objective is to assist every student with their academic, personal, social and career development. She is a member of a dedicated team of professionals and parents, working to provide the best possible opportunities for our students' success.
