Glenda Cauthen • librarian
Professionally, Ms. Cauthen has always exemplified a stable and superior work ethic. She was in the office supply field for 25 years in positions ranging from customer service to retail manager to purchasing agent and more. More recently, she was in the automobile industry for 4 years before aligning herself in the field of education, an area that has always been close to her heart. Ms. Cauthen joined the George Crockett Academy staff in October 2008 as the school Librarian and has aspirations of completing an education related degree within the next 5 years. Her love for children is demonstrated in her willingness to volunteer for school events, to assist whenever she can and to faithfully give of her time and talents in GCA's after school tutoring program. Ms. Cauthen's motto is "Young children can't grow if they can't read." The passionate dedication she has for excellence is displayed before her students in that she always expects the best. She believes in the work she does today, knowing it will produce fruit for many years to come.
