Tamiko Powell-Johnson, assistant school leader
Tamiko Powell-Johnson is the assistant school leader at George Crockett Academy. Prior to becoming an administrator she taught computers for two years and visual arts for seven years. She also held positions as dean of students and academic administrator.
Education is a second career for Mrs. Powell-Johnson. She bagan her working career as a graphic designer working for an advertising agency, design firm and as a freelance artist. She is a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University and Wayne State University. She is married and enjoys reading, art, cake decorating, scrapbooking and track & field.
